Special Educational Needs
Art workshops can always be adapted to suit the needs of all participants.
Special needs groups can benefit greatly from the “hands-on”, practical approach that sculptural projects provide. When you work in a creative environment it’s easy to see the positive impact that visual art projects can have on all participants. Art can be a fantastic way to communicate quite complex and difficult themes and ideas and by its very nature it draws people in and they naturally want to get involved, especially if the initial stages are kept simple and exciting. If the project is ‘hands on’ and not too daunting most students will jump right in and have a go. By supporting each other children of all abilities can create a fantastic team spirit and by working together they can produce amazing results.
